To honor the memory of the man who was loved and respected by so many, a memorial committee was selected in the summer of 2003. This committee consisted of school staff, administrators, school board members and community members. Of all the ideas presented 3 seemed to signify the ideals that Dr. Segro held so high throughout his career as an educator and administrator. The junior high library has been named the Dr. Eugene P. Segro Memorial Library in his honor. 2 stained glass windows have been installed inside the library. The third memorial is being placed in front of the school entrance to honor not only Dr. Segro, but those who endured the hardship of his loss (see below). Designed by Crabtree, Rohrbaugh & Assoc. the granite sculpture consists of three spires coming together at the top. The spires represent community, staff and students. The words "We Will Always Believe" will be inscribed around the base. Follow the progress as the memorial proceeds throughout the school year.
