In the press I've been getting lately, I have tried to articulate very clearly that Columbine was a "wake up call" not just for our society but for ME in particular as I was once headed down a similar road. I found other outlets such as filmmaking and theater... unfortunately those like Harris, Klebold, and apparently Ken Bartley Jr.,15, did not.

The suspect, Ken Bartley Jr., was taken to a juvenile detention facility, Sheriff Ron McClellan said. The boy's family declined comment. Authorities didn't know whether Bartley would be charged as an adult. They said he was grazed in the hand by a bullet fired from his own .22-caliber handgun when he was subdued. Parents rushed to the school to pick up their children, causing a massive traffic jam when police closed the campus.
